THE PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH
GROUP IS
UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!
The Presbyterian
Church’s members have decided to put together a
youth group. In recent
years, there have been two other active
youth groups. The youth
group that is just beginning is excited to have fun while learning
about Christ. Some ideas for activities that this group has are:
visiting at Valley Vista, fundraising for charities, and finding
helpful ways to participate in the worship service (just to name a
few).
Youth group is open to
youth 10 and older. Come and have fun! We are planning to meet on
the first and third Sundays of the month after church. Any
questions, contact Ginny Oakes (245-4262).

Compassion International
Joenel is the Compassion Child chosen
by the Sunday School Classes, He will be sponsored by several people
in our church willing to contribute the $32 per month
support.

Letter from Joenel
Dear Community Presbyterian Church,
May the blessings of our Lord Jesus
Christ be with you all upon reading this letter. God is good all the
time, may the loving guidance of Almighty Father be with you all.
Last June, we started our classes for
the school year 2009- 2010. Joenel is already
kinder 2. Their classes are only from Monday to Friday and an the
Saturday they attend review classes at the center and all other
activities- snacks and lunch are served to them.
Last July, they had their first
monthly exam. Out of 27 students Joenel got 8th place. We are happy
with his achievements and improvements. Thank you for your
generosity and continual support.
Our family keeps on praying for your
good health always. We are also praying for all the members of the
church. Please include us in your prayers for all the members of our
family to have good health and for our daily needs.
Thank you and God be with you always.
Gratefully yours,
Zenith (Joenel's mother)
A Letter from Our Child's
Pastor
Dear Friends,
Greetings of love in Jesus name!
First of all, allow me to express my
heartfelt thanks for the support you are showering to your sponsored
child through our Koinonia Child Development Center and the
Compassion Child Sponsorship Program. God is good for allowing us to
serve Him through this ministry. You are a channel of His blessing
to Joenel Tomazar Jr.
Secondly, allow me to introduce
myself. I am Benjamin T. Libo-on, the Associate Pastor of Hinigaran
Evangelical Church, serving for almost 20 years. The church
ministers to the people of Hinigaran, reaching out to the people of
different level in many places, in various needs. The church and
Koinonia Child Development Center in partnership with Compassion
International are focusing on children's ministry, by releasing
children from poverty in Jesus' name, by selecting the poorest of
the poor and providing them venue to be ministered. This is a child
centered, child focused, child friendly ministry to develop, enrich,
enhance their self-worth and their skills to become self reliant and
fulfilled Christian individuals.
I am so happy our church was highly
favored to undertake this rare privilege of lifelong partnership,
especially in training and nurturing these little ones to become
strong individuals, reliable and capable leaders of our nation
someday. In the near future, they become strong men and women with
moral fiber and spiritual well-being to be fture builders of
our nation.
Presently we have 97 registered
children in our center, with additional 25 unsponsored. The program
is ongoing with tremendous impact in the lives of the children and
parents. It created a transformational change, thus increasing the
awareness of our ministry in our community.
Hence, your partnership with us
brought great delight and awesome change in line with sponsored
children in their growth. The four aspect of development, cognitive,
physical, socio-emotional and spiritual dimensions are the concrete
evidences that are measurable
in the performance of their way of life. Their self-esteem is now
getting higher, their biblical values are developing, their self
worth is becoming evident, and their outlook shows changes that they
are created in the image of God. Their physical condition is rapidly
improving. Socially they can relate ads a normal person and actively
participate in different aspect of life with confidence.
Furthermore, your partnership has
contributed a lot in the ministry here in Hinigaran. I share
this with you to let you know that your partnership with us is a
lifelong investment that will produce a lasting result. I appreciate
your faithfulness and continued love in helping these little ones
for the glory of God and his kingdom.
The Lord has really been gracious to
our church through Koinonia Child Development Center as an arm of
God in carrying the welfare and goodwill in touching and changing
lives. Your commitment to partnership has challenged me to move
forward, take more Bible study jobs seriously, as a noble task which
was entrusted to us by our sovereign God. What a privilege to serve
Him! Responsibilities and challenges are waiting to be worked out by
the ordinary people of God. What gives us the courage to move on is
the awareness that our almighty Father is working with us, and the
unfailing support of our local church, youth, parents, community,
mission-minded individuals.
Please remember to pray for Joenel.
Please keep us in prayer as well.
We are not afraid to dream great
things together for God because His Word says, "What
is impossible with men is possible with God" (Luke 18:27, NIV)
Again, as we are partners and fellow workers to further the cause of
Christ, may I appeal for your whole hearted prayers and commitment.
Together let us experience the abundant blessings of God's
inconsumable flowing supply for His kingdom in Christ Jesus.
For the cause that counts in the
kingdom,
Benjamin T. Libo-on
